01 - 8 mini bagels, sliced in half
02 - 6 ounces cream cheese, softened (plain or flavored)
→ Vegetables & Decoration
03 - 16 small black olives, sliced (for eyes and buttons)
04 - 8 baby carrots, cut into thin strips (for noses)
05 - 16 thin cucumber rounds (for scarves)
06 - 8 red bell pepper strips (for scarves or hats)
07 - 16 capers or black peppercorns (for mouth)
08 - 2 tablespoons finely chopped chives (optional, for decoration)
→ Optional Fillings
09 - 8 slices cheddar or Swiss cheese
10 - 8 slices turkey, ham, or vegetarian deli slices
11 - Lettuce leaves
# How To Make It:
01 - Spread a generous layer of cream cheese on the bottom half of each mini bagel.
02 - If desired, layer with cheese, deli slices, and lettuce, then top with the other half of the bagel.
03 - Place each assembled mini bagel sandwich cut side up on a serving platter.
04 - Use two olive slices for eyes, a thin carrot strip for the nose, and arrange capers or peppercorns in a smile shape for the mouth. Create scarves below the face with cucumber rounds and red pepper strips. Optionally sprinkle chives for a festive touch.
05 - Serve immediately or cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
